Jonathan Bailey may be a Sharma now, but he’ll always make time for the Bridgerton clan.
In a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyersthe Emmy nominee reconfirmed that he would appear in the fourth episode of Netflix’s hit period drama Bridgerton as the always charming Viscount.
“I’ll reunite with the family next week,” he joked.
Production on the fourth season is underway, with the season 4 storyline following the free-spirited Benedict (Luke Thompson) and his love story with the mysterious and enchanting Lady in Silver, maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The adaptation is based on Julia Quinn’s third novel in the Bridgerton series, An offer from a gentleman.
When asked by host Meyers if the swoon-worthy Regency series ever gets old, Bailey replied: “No. Well, it changes every year – every two years. How wonderful to be part of that. There will be a lot of room for new people, and Luke and Yerin will be great. So I always come back to say hello.”
The actor’s response echoes his previous comments about seasons 3 and 4: “I’ll be there to support the young people as we go,” Bailey said during an August appearance on Good morning America. Although his character’s enemies are alongside Simone Ashley’s Kate Sharma in season 2, Bailey and Ashley love the show.
